How badly does Jordan Spieth want to win the PGA Championship?
Spieth just took a two-day scouting trip of Whistling Straits, the course that will host the final major of the year. He posted a few pictures on social media, putting the rest of the PGA Tour on notice that the two-time major will be bringing his A-game at the PGA Championship.
Before Whistling Straits however, Spieth and 76 of the world’s best golfers tee it up this week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio. Then after the PGA the following week comes four FedEx Cup playoff events. The 22-year-old has his sights set on ending the year as strong as he started.
“I would like to win one of these last six events,” he said. “I’d like to be in contention and close one of them out, stay focused on trying to win one of these six and forget about how this year has gone. This is so new for us. It’s hard as a team for us to sit back and not want to soak in what’s happened.”
