When people talk about the greatest managers in footbal, a few names get thrown around: Jose Mourinho, Sir Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola.

Well here’s one for you: Jürgen Klopp

I’m not saying he’s ready for a seat in Valhalla next to Fergie, but what he’s done since arriving at Liverpool has been nothing short of sensational.

He’s taken a Big 4 team that was struggling and breathed new life into it, even with the soccer gods trying to sabotage him at every turn with a plague of hamstring injuries.

He’s induced vigor and vitality into a a club that was sorely lacking inspiration. Who doesn’t like a guy like that?

Though Liverpool finished in an uninspiring 8th place in the Premier League this year, they’re one game away from playing Champions League soccer next year.

The difference Klopp has made, even if it hasn’t been directly reflected in the EPL table, hasn’t been lost on fans.

Liverpool supporter “Roast_Lamb” summed up his thoughts on the German manager ahead of tomorrow’s Europa League final against Sevilla,

“EVEN IF WE LOSE TOMORROW, I’M JUST FUCKING GLAD WE HAVE KLOPP AT THE HELM. WOULDN’T REPLACE HIM WITH ANY MANAGER IN THE WORLD.”

High praise indeed from an anonymous internet stranger. In all seriousness, I think a lot of Liverpool fans are feeling the same way right about now Klopp, who’s high pressure, counterattacking style has been effective and  fun to watch.

Look how Liverpool pressures Man City on the goal kick here:

You think they’re doing that under Brendan Rogers (Liverpool manager from 2012 to 2015)? Doubtful.

Look at Klopp’s report with the Anfield faithful after Liverpool beat Villarreal in the Europa League two weeks ago:

Now that’s a man of the people.

He’s winning, and he’s doing it the right way.
