With their team up 2-1 and time winding down, Croatian fans decided to bombard the pitch with flares.
An official tried to pick up one of the objects that was thrown on the field and it expoded in his hand
UEFA has opened a disciplinary case against Croatia for this incident, as well as a fan running onto the pitch after Luka Modric scored during Croatia’s first game against Turkey.
Modric’s volley was certainly a goal worth celebrating, though.
Croatia’s hooligans have accepted Russia’s challenge and are vying for the title of Euro 2016’s worst fans.
