Andrew BEEF Johnston wins his PGA TOUR card on National Cheeseburger Day

Beef celebrates gaining his PGA TOUR card in Boise, Idaho.

BEEF has achieved his goal of qualifying for the PGA TOUR. He will continue to play on the European Tour, but now has the opportunity to play almost any event he choses. “To come over and get what I was trying to do is big,” he said, with a wide smile.

BEEF earned his crust by accepting an invitation to compete at the Web.com finals. Players who finished between 125-200 on the FedExCup points list can fight it out for 25 Tour cards in the final four events. BEEF finished 4th at the Albertsons Boise Open, moving himself to 6th on the Finals money list and guaranteeing him a TOUR card for next year.

BEEF’s letting golf do the talking as he continues to prove that there’s more to him than charisma.

He first came onto the scene after a legendary interview where he promised to “get hammered” and immediately the everyman had a new favourite golfer. Stories like this are never far from his narrative, whether it’s signing a deal with the fast-food chain Arby’s or challenging John Daly to a drinking contest, the player’s popularity is omnipresent.
