5 golfers who need to avoid dropping the soap in prison (and 5 that don’t)
September 20, 2016
A recent survey asked PGA TOUR players who they would turn to in a bar fight. In light of this fascinating information, we were left wondering who could take care of themselves in prison?
These guys earn vast sums of money, and can at times face the tax man with an uneasy collar, ahem Phil. So which pro would be “SAFE” and which would be “IN TROUBLE” if we were to place them in a hostile environment like the one found in a prison shower?
Bubba Watson (IN TROUBLE)
Bubba would be a lonesome inmate which could make soap dropping risky. Protection is key and I can’t see anyone taking a shank for this man.
Rickie Fowler (IN TROUBLE)
Rickie’s boyish looks may get him attention, but in the clink this is a serious issue. Tattoos may be mistaken for a rival gang's and SB2K16 could sound threatening to the Aryan Brotherhood. (Source/Red Bull).
Henrik Stenson (SAFE)
“The Ice Man” has that 1000-yard stare that can sometimes ensure nobody messes with you. Recent success at the Open Championship confirmed that it’s very difficult to mash the Swede.
Ernie Els (SAFE)
Fellow professionals said that Ernie would be the first guy they'd turn to in a bar fight. This anonymous poll heard people say things like: "We've heard stories about Ernie's fighting."
4) Jamie Vardy – 35.10
No real surprises here. So imporant to the Englishman's game.
The combo of Vardy's pace and work-rate, means all centre-backs need to be on their toes when facing the Leicester man.
