6 uncapped England players Gareth Southgate has to play
September 23, 2016
Gareth Southgate faces the prospect of a very challenging task. Following in the footsteps of an England manager with a 100% win record, who also didn’t even concede a goal, is a daunting prospect for any individual.
With Southgate facing such a challenge, the ex-Boro boss should definitely give these lads a first cap in England’s upcoming fixtures…
Whether you're a Hammers fan or not, you can't argue that it's a cardinal sin the West Ham captain doesn't have a cap to his name.
Great player, great bloke; would be welcome in any dressing room.
Big CD, leader, consistent, solid. You know what you're going to get from Curt, and he'll certainly be more reliable than either Chris Smalling or Gary Cahill.
Give him the call, Gareth!
It's odd that for West Ham's terrible start to the season, they have the joint-top scorer in the Premier League, arise Antonio with five goals.
A real threat from set-pieces, bags of pace, always looks lively. Seems the Hammer is on the verge after being included in the latest World Cup qualifying camp.
Started life on the South Coast with Southampton very well. Can play as a winger or in behind the striker, might be worth giving the ex-Norwich man a go in the upcoming qualifiers.
Another Hammer, but Cresswell is Mr Reliable. Played all but one of West Ham's games in the previous two Premier League seasons.
Already started the season with two goals. The Watford captain is a handful when playing, and lets defenders know they're in for a game.
Underrated, undervalued, and overlooked. The sort of character any dressing room needs, get that man a cap!
