Former Ryder Cup star Niclas Fasth attempts to break the record in the grip race – can he do it?

Niclas Fasth has six European Tour career wins; he uses an Odyssey Putter. Niclas joined the PGA European Tour in 1994. In 2001, he finished second at the British Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes. It was the first time the Swede had played in a major championship after five failed attempts to qualify for the Open.

His strong performance at the Open earned him a spot on the European Ryder Cup team at The De Vere Belfry. His best finish on the PGA European Tour Order of Merit was 10th in 2001. Off the course, Niclas enjoys sports, cars, hunting and motorcycles. He and his wife Marie have a son named Adam and daughter named Amanda. A five-time winner on the European Tour, Niclas narrowly missed out on his sixth win at the 2009 Celtic Manor Wales Open, where he was the runner-up.
