Prior to 2014, Billy Horschel’s first five years on the PGA Tour had been relatively ho-hum. The Florida Gator alum and four-time All American had only earned one tour victory during his first five years on the tour, at the 2013 Zurich Classic in New Orleans.
That all changed in 2014.
Horschel, 37, earned his second career tour victory at the 2014 BMW Championship. The win moved him up to 23rd in the world golf rankings. The next week, Horschel won The Tour Championship, and with it, the FedEx Cup.
Now off the heels of his most successful season as a pro, the new father to baby Skyler is poised for an even bigger breakout season in 2015.
