Everyone is focused on Tiger Woods making his long awaited comeback, but what about Anthony Kim?
Anthony Kim has barely been seen since his disappearance after the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship. Having won 3 times before the age of 23, AK was destined for greatness. Sadly, he went through a slew of injuries that deeply affected his willingness to exist in the public eye.
He refused interviews, cut off ties with all his former golf links and became impossible to track down. Rumor had it that he was staying out of golf to keep a $10 million disability check. If he loses that, he would have to earn $35 million to regain it all. His motivation for vanishing then becomes more understandable, if less noble.
“Here’s what I’m telling you today. I’m going to step away from the game for a little while and get my body pieced together. Instead of going from an Achilles injury to try and go 180 mph and not fixing the problem… I’ve so much ground to make up from injuries – rotator cuff, labrum, spinal fusion, hand injury. I’ve had six or seven surgeries in the last three-and-a-half years.”
AK is now 31 and any notion of a comeback is slowly vanishing into the ether. That won’t stop us getting excited about seeing him on a golf course though.

AK was spotted with the basketball hall of famer, Nancy Lieberman. It remains unclear if he was actually playing with the group, but it’s a nice to see him supporting a charity.

Tagging Anthony in a Tweet is like a one-legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen lake, pointless. His account has been dead since 2010..

He’s still our outsider for a Ryder Cup pick. Just imagine AK!
