Borussia Dortmund have their own real life version of ‘Where’s Wally’. However, rather than looking to find that funny looking bloke in the red and white stripes, the German giants are trying to locate their own striker who usually reps their black and yellow strip… Has anyone seen Ousmane Dembele?
“Dembele wasn’t at training today. I have no idea why he wasn’t there. We tried to reach him but couldn’t,
“First I have to talk to Dembele, then he has to explain to me why he wasn’t here today. I hope nothing serious happened.”
— Peter Bosz, Borussia Dortmund boss
Following the quiet departure of Neymar from Barcelona to PSG, the Catalan side now find themselves missing a letter from that outdated messaging system that has grabbed the headlines for the last three years.
With the La Liga side’s hunt for Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho stalling after the Reds rejected a £90 million bid from Barca, it looks as if Ernesto Valverde and co. have now turned their attention to 20-year-old, Dembele.

Reports coming out of Germany are that the Frenchman could cost as much as £135 million; absolute bargain for a striker who scored 10 goals in 49 appearances last year for the German side.
In all seriousness, although the return of goals was not brilliant from the youngster, the forward’s selflessness for his side and quality in the final third is evident as he clocked an astonishing 21 assists last season for Dortmund.
As well as this, the Frenchman’s ability was clear to see as he tore England apart in the recent friendly this summer, where he also scored his first goal for the national side.
Both Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are probably remaining very quiet with the thought of such an assisting player joining the Nou Camp, as Dortmund look set to maintain the trend of Europe’s biggest breeding club.
