The Juice Is Loose: OJ Is Out Of The Slammer And Putting In His Backyard

OJ Simpson, the infamous ex-NFL star who drove his white Bronco down the 405 freeway in California after the murder of his ex-wife, is free from incarceration. What does the Juice do on his first day out in the world? He works on his golf game, of course.

Simpson is currently staying at his temporary Las Vegas residence where he has a putting area in the backyard, because why wouldn’t he? It won’t be long before he’s back on the links, so might as well practice.

OJ was released from prison last night after serving nine years for an armed robbery at a Las Vegas hotel. For this crime alone he was sentenced to jail for 33 years but was awarded parole at the earliest eligible time, which was less than a third of the original sentence.

Since his arrest, there have been multiple documentaries and series revolving around the case that OJ was eventually acquitted of, the murder of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman. The case was highly publicised and ignited and divided a nation. Even with all of the evidence pointing towards the “celebrity”, which he certainly was at the time, he was found not guilty.

According to ABC, now that he’s out of jail, he intends to move to Florida where three of his children live. Florida’s Attorney General, Pam Bondi, says Simpson isn’t welcome in the Sunshine State, but an ABC legal expert believes Florida will have to take him.

“He’s going to focus on kids, friends, his family and golf,” Simpson’s good friend, Tom Scotto recently told CNN. “Maybe not the first day or second, but he is going to go out.”

OJ has had a long and illustrious love affair with golf, and it seems like that love is still a priority, among trying to rebuild relationships with his family. After spending nearly a decade in the slammer, you have to give the guy credit for his dedication to the game.
