Everybody knows that alcohol and (watching) sports go together like peanut butter and jelly. Problem is, some people are allergic to peanut butter, as evidenced by the melee that broke out in the stands during the Miami Dolphins – San Fransisco 49ers game.
It’s tough to say for sure, but at the very beginning of the clip, it looks like the woman 49ers gear slaps the old guy in the Dolphins gear. The backwards hat guy in the white Suh Dolphins jersey tries (in vain) to hold the orange hat guy in the Suh jersey (his dad?) back, who then punches the guy in the Steelers jersey (her boyfriend, perhaps?).
Once that pops off, a third Dolphins fan in a teal Suh jersey jumps in and starts swinging on everybody within a five row radius. Arguably the best part of the video is the guy, oblivious to the royal rumble going on around him, screaming “Why are we passing the ball!?” at the Dolphins’ coaching staff.
The Miami Dolphins organization has identified the fans involved, revoked their season tickets, and banned them from attending games.
We conducted an immediate internal review of the situation and have identified the season ticket members who were involved in the incident. Their season tickets have been revoked and they have been banned from the stadium. We work hard to remind fans that we want this to be a safe environment and this type of behavior and conduct is not acceptable.
Official statement from Miami Dolphins
Not a good look for anyone involved. Coincidence that almost everyone involved was wearing an Ndamukong Suh jersey? You tell me…
