LeVeon Bell drops diss track and Skip Bayless responds

It’s no secret that LeVeon Bell doesn’t like Skip Bayless. In fact, it’s no secret that a lot of people don’t like Skip Bayless. But LeVeon took it a step further by putting his feelings in a diss track titled “Shrimp Bayless.”

It’s not uncommon for the realms of music and athletics to collide. Unfortunately, way before LeVeon’s diss track, athletes have been trying their hand at music for years. People like Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, and more recently Damian Lillard have all shared their musical aspirations. But LeVeon’s diss track may be a first in sports history. Rapping as his alias “Juice,” the diss track comes as a response to Skip’s critiques and constant comparisons to other running backs in the NFL (namely Cowboys star rookie, Ezekiel Elliott). Listen to LeVeon’s record:

After seeing the song, Skip (being the social media troll that he is) took to twitter to announce his response was on its way:

Making good on his promise, Skip’s response was basically an echoed sentiment that LeVeon pales in comparison to Zeke, he did say he liked the track but at this point, that doesn’t matter. He reiterates:

“Ezekiel Elliott is the best running back in football, he’s simply better in so many ways than Le’Veon…In this diss track, Le’Veon said, ‘I got the Hall of Fame waiting.’ I don’t know about that. I’m not seeing that yet. But I think Ezekiel showed you in his rookie year—leading the league in rushing—he’s at least starting down the Hall of Fame path.”

It’s safe to say we were all expecting Skip to be Skip. If nothing else, he stands firm in his own opinions. As far as LeVeon “Juice” Bell, he should probably focus on staying healthy and making next season THE season. The Steelers had a great run and given LeVeon’s stats this year, next year may be more of a conversation about him rather than Zeke.
