“Get me a beer now. Honest to God, get me one now.”
Usually the words on a Friday afternoon to get the weekend started; not in Nick Kyrgios’ case.
The Australian star was after a beer during a mid-game meltdown against Kevin Anderson, and when a spectator asked if he was joking, the 22-year-old responded with: “I don’t think so”.
Often at the front of controversy, Kyrgios managed to break two racquets during his loss to Anderson, and early exit at the French Open; the Australian was defeated – 5-7 6-4 6-1 6-2.

The 18th seed seemed subdued with new coach, Sebastien Grosjean, as the young star has now decided he would like a coach after opting against one for the previous three years:
“Obviously, he [Grosjean] just says the right things after that kind of loss. He knows that things have been difficult for me.
But he knows firsthand that I haven’t put in enough work to have gone deep here. The whole team knows it.” — Nick Kyrgios
The difficulty Kyrgios had coming into Roland Garros was a hip problem, as well as having to deal with the loss of his grandfather; a factor which gave the 22-year-old poor preparation:
“Yeah, I mean, after my grandpa passing, I just lost a lot of motivation to do anything, really.”
We’ve all seen the youngster’s potential, with victories over the likes of Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic; and we’re sure to see the Australian back to his best soon.
