With the Grand Prix weekend almost upon us, here are 5 prediction for the race in Hungary… *Puts neck out*

5. Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen make contact
They Red Bulls and the Mercedes will be close this weekend, but too close between Hamilton and Verstappen. The pair are the most exciting drivers to watch at the moment but haven’t really had an on-track battle of significance yet. The nature of the Hungaroring will catch-out these two as they battle for the podium/win.
4. Nico Rosberg retires with gearbox problem
Rosberg’s gearbox runs smoothly through Practice and Qualifying in Hungary, but the racing Gods intervene during the race and Nico is left up sh*t creek without 5th gear. He tries to fix the problem but can’t, the Mercedes retires…
3. McLaren will outscore Ferrari

McLaren will continue their resurrection and put a smile back on Fernando Alonso’s face as the British team outscore the panic-induced Ferrari team. The chassis of the MP4-31 will perform well on the freshly surfaced rolling track in Hungary and Ferrari will have another weekend to forget.
2. Jolyon Palmer will score his first point

The Renault driver is due a decent result and incidents elsewhere will see him clinch 10th place and a point. Palmer is already determined to beat Magnussen during qualifying and will get the team’s strategic priority as a result.
Daniel Ricciardo winsÂ
So close at Monaco it was almost cruel, but the Aussie will repeat the 2014 Hungary result and win here for Red Bull. It will be a closely fought contest between himself and Hamilton, but contact with Verstappen will rule the Brit out of another victory.
