Like something straight out of a GTAV heist, Bernie Ecclestone’s mother-in-law was kidnapped in Brazil by somebody who was trusted within the inner-circle of the billionaire family.
It has emerged that Bernie Ecclestone’s own private helicopter pilot, Jorge Eurico da Silva, was the mastermind behind the kidnap who headed a Brazilian gang into the scheme. The ransom of £39m was never obtained by the crooks, and Bernie Ecclestone praised the police for extracting his mother-in-law smoothly.

Ecclestone said,
“I’m very happy. The last few days haven’t been very good. This isn’t a good thing to happen to you and your family.
The police officers we dealt with were fantastic, they did an unbelievable job, it was absolutely first class. We are very, very, very happy with them.”

Bernie is clearly relieved, as is his family. It’s a good job that the police were able to settle this issue as the £39m ransom was allegedly in Bernie’s “other jeans”.

His mother-in-law, Ms Schunk, was abducted from her home on July 22, but after locating one of the kidnappers, heavily armed police raided a house in Sao Paulo to find the clearly distressed relative tied up, but unharmed.
She said,
“I only ask for these bandits to be jailed so they can’t abduct anyone else in Sao Paulo.”

Bernie has upped the personal security around his family, bodyguards were seen with his daughters as they walked around LA.
