Force India Reveal Pink Livery for Upcoming Season

Force India will contest the 2017 season in a matte pink livery following a sponsorship deal with an Austrian-based water tech company.

Team Principal Vijay Mallya said,

“The arrival of BWT in Formula One is huge news and represents one of the most significant partnerships in our ten year history. It’s a sign of how far we have come as a team with our strong results and completes a solid commercial performance over the winter.

For 2017 our cars will sport a vibrant new colour scheme with a smart matte finish. Changing the colour of our cars is an indication of the strength of this new partnership and a real statement of intent from BWT as they begin their relationship with the sport of Formula One.”

If it’s fast, it’s a beautiful car. But the striking livery is definitely an improvement on the launch livery, which was grey and plain. The pink liveried Force India is so loud that you might get tinnitus.

What matters more than the newfound vibrancy is how the VJM10 is shaping up ahead of the opening race. Their drivers are very motivated, Estaben Ocon has set a massive target for himself this season:

“My personal target would be to score points at every race. That would be pretty cool. Melbourne is the place where everybody unleashes his machine, so we will see what the reality check is. I have a super feeling about the VJM10. The balance is right and the Mercedes engine is simply the best, also when it comes to reliability. So let’s see if I can trust my feelings.”

Force India are optimistically looking to build on last season’s staggering 4th place finish in the Constructors. It will be tough, especially given that their 2016 rivals Williams look to be in a very strong position and should be challenging for podiums.
