Lee Westwood Tips: Improving Your Wedge Play

Lee Westwood shares another one of his tips. This time he gives advice on how to sharpen up your wedge play.

Lee Westwood was born on April 24, 1973 in Worksop, England. In 1993 he turned professional and just four years later, he captured the attention of golf fans across the world with three rapid victories. This helped him to secure a spot on Seve Ballesteros’ 1997 Ryder Cup, where he played under the wing of stalwart Nick Faldo. In 1998 he won the Freeport-McDermott Classic in New Orleans.

Over the past sixteen years, Westwood has experienced immense highs and lows. Perhaps his biggest heartbreak came in 2008 when he narrowly missed out on joining Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate in an 18 hole playoff, and then in 2009, three-putting the 18th hole in the Open Championship to miss out on another playoff by one shot. In 2010, Westwood bounced back and took over the Number One ranking before surrendering it to Luke Doanld at the 2011 BMW PGA Championship.
