Manchester United Players Ditch Football For Golf

Manchester United managers, players and fans teamed up to compete in the club’s annual charity golf day to raise £20,000 for local Manchester charities.

The Foundation Golf Day offers fans the chance to play a round of golf with their football heroes for a hefty fee of £1,500, likely to keep the event to an exclusive tier of casual golfers. However fans can rest safe knowing that the money is put towards charities across Greater Manchester.

Rooney and Evans

Here’s what happened in a nutshell. Louis Van Gaal and Alex Fergurson played terrible and were visible upset. Wayne Rooney surprised many by knocking it around in a respective score. Michael Carrick isn’t bad. And Johnny Evans won’t be making a career change to golf anytime soon.

Welsh legend and Manchester United assistant boss Ryan Giggs was looking to defend his title from last year, but couldn’t hold off Denis Irwin who claimed the top prize this year.
