WBO Middleweight Champion and Ireland’s own Andy Lee has threatened to ‘knockout’ the fan who shouted at his fellow countryman, amateur Paul Dunne, who was about to hit his approach shot to the 18th green at St Andrew’s Monday.
Dunne, who started the day with a share of the lead at 12-under, struggled mightily during the final round. The 22-year-old was +5 heading to 18, leaving him way out of contention. Taking his second shot, some idiot decided to shout “potato” at the Irishman.
This caused Dunne to step back from his ball and line up his shot again. Dunne ended up hitting way long, leaving himself with a very tough third shot.
While some popular figures on Twitter vented their anger at the clown who shouted a stupid stereotype, boxing middleweight champion Andy Lee didn’t hold back…
I'd like to meet that fella who shouted before Dunne's chip and knock him straight out!

Good to see the fellow Irishman standing up for his countryman.
Maybe its the same guy as this video, a repeat offender…
