Tiger Turns Game Around After Hitting A Spectator

Luck was on Tiger’s side yesterday at the Quicken Loans National, when a fortunate bounce of a fan turned his game around.

After making bogey on three of his first four holes Tiger needed a spark to get his game back on track.

Woods struck a clean second shot at the par-5 fifth hole, his shot flew  slightly left and caught a fan on the leg who was spectating from just off the green.

The ball ricocheted off the fan and back towards the green, settling up only 27 feet away from the hole.

The lucky bounce was just what Tiger needed as he managed to convert for birdie. He then went on to birdie the par-5 eighth hole leaving him one over on the front nine.

Something must have switched in Tiger as we saw him return to some great form.  He birdied the first four holes of the back nine before parring in for a round of 68.

“I feel great. After that start, it was tough to turn it around, which I did. I sucked it up and turned it around and posted a good number and, you know, we got the fresh greens tomorrow. Hopefully go out there and post a low one.”
