Just twenty-four hours into his summer vacation, President Obama rushed to the golf course to hang out with Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David.

Obama and David were  joined by  Robert Wolf and Cyrus Walker – for the President’s Saturday afternoon golf game at the Farm Neck Golf Club on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.

Larry David – the notorious comedian known for his outrageous self-deprecating comedy – wasn’t having his finest day on the golf course, hacking balls out of ravines, and spending as much time in the sand as on the short grass.

On one hole – in an attempt to get the back onto the green, David screamed in frustration after hitting a bunker shot that saw thew sand fly further than the ball.

Several plotlines in the Curb Your Enthusiasm – in which David is both creator and lead star – surround golf.

David Wolf, the former chairman of UBS Investment Bank, and Cyrus Walker, the cousin of senior aide Valarie Jarrett – are frequent playing partners of President Obama. While far more restrained than David, they seemed to be amused by the Hollywood star’s golfing anxiety.

Obama will spend the next two weeks on Martha’s Vineyard, a spot that is synonymous with First Family summer vacations. Obama will return to Washington on Aug. 23.
