Desperate former world number one golfer Tiger Woods booked a flight to North Carolina when he shockingly announced he’ll be playing in the largely low-key Wyndham Championship, a tournament notorious for a lacklustre field.
After playing his rain-suspended round Friday afternoon, Woods told reporters he’ll be teeing it up at Sedgefield Country Club for one last effort to make the FedEx Cup. If Woods is to be successful in his quest, he’ll have to finish first or second alone.
As of today, Woods finds himself ranked 186th in the standings. The top 125 make it.
