“Slightly classless” is not the way most of us would describe Jordan Spieth, but golf analyst Arron Oberholser totally went there. Granted, Jordan was certainly not putting his best foot forward after he and Dustin Johnson were soundly defeated at the President’s Cup today by Branden Grace and Louis Oosthuizen. In an interview with Golf Channel, Jordan Spieth let his frustration leak into his wording. “That was Merry Christmas to them.”

In the following video segment, Oberholser makes his disapproval of Spieth’s phrasing known at around 2:20. A warning for Spieth devotees he doesn’t mince his words.

We guess he does have a point. Attributing your opponent’s victory to your own poor playing rather than their phenomenal efforts does smack a little of bad sportsmanship. But we suppose that expecting anyone, let alone the 22-year old world’s best golfer, not to be a sore loser some of the time. Plus, Jordan is beating on himself more than anything else in that short clip we see of him, so you can’t help but feel a little bad.
