The big guns have arrived in China and the sponsors are taking them for a ride.
The best golfers in the world are getting together this week for the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai and some of the pairings look very tasty indeed. At 9.45 am local time we have Jordan Spieth, Bubba Watson and Henrik Stenson. If that’s not enough to get you in the mood try Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler teeing off an hour later, now that’s a power combination.
It’s good to see the sponsors having some fun with the players and it’s obvious you can get them to do anything when you put up a purse of $8,500,000.
Jordan, Henrik, Bubba & Rickie won't be forming a drumming band any time soon… #HSBCChampions pic.twitter.com/XwES7fp0SQ

First place in Shanghai will pocket the you a cool $1.4 million, a very handy salary booster with Christmas round the corner. The world of golf seems to have bromance at every turn as the world’s top 10 constantly post pictures and videos with their ‘boys’.

It’s nice to see this type of camaraderie. Don’t expect it to last as each of the big three will be wanting to assert themselves this week.
