Lindsey Vonn recently opened up in an interview with the New York Times about her relationship with Tiger Woods.
Even though the two dated for more than two years, Tiger was a rebound for Vonn. When they started dating, the Olympic champion was recently divorced from her first husband. They were officially separated in January of 2013, and she started dating Woods in May of that year.
“Thomas was really my first boyfriend, so I didn’t have a lot of dating experience,” she said of ex-husband Thomas Vonn, whom she married in 2007 at the age of 22. “So jumping into a relationship right away after getting a divorce was probably not the smartest move on my part.
“I don’t regret anything. I loved Tiger, and I had an amazing three years with him. But it was a learning experience as well. With every relationship, you learn what you need and what you want in a partner.”
There are always up and downs to every relationship, especially when that relationship is being monitored under a microscope for everyone to see. It must have been hard to deal with all of the rumors about Tiger “relapsing” and cheating, even when that may not have been the case. Either way, she learned a lot and is now ready to move on to the next big thing.
Lindsey is 31, single, and ready to mingle. Damn.
