Golf’s Most Wanted Fugitive Finally Arrested For The Murder Of Fellow Caddie

A man wanted for the murder of a fellow caddie in 1996 has been apprehended by authorities and will finally face charges.

Michael “Gifton” Cousins is in FBI custody after he was arrested last month by members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Fugitive Apprehension Team.

Cousins worked as a caddie at the club at 940 Wynnewood Road in Pelham Manor for about six months. The stabbing occurred when he got into a fight with Jason Campbell, another caddie, outside the pro shop, according to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

He fled the scene and the murder weapon was later found in some nearby bushes across the street from the course. Cousins, originally from Jamaica, has been a fugitive ever since, using numerous aliases.
