- The Hyundai Tournament of Champions got underway yesterday.
- Dustin Johnson was in fine form with the driver but could only manage level par.
Credit to Dustin Johnson for letting the PGA Tour follow him from 6.45 am. I would imagine greeting a cameraman after kissing goodbye to Paulina Gretzky would be like a kid getting led from a candy store to the library.
In case you forgot…you’re welcome.

DJ hits balls for about an hour and 10 minutes, descending through all his clubs, before heading to the practice green for 15 minutes of pitching and 5 minutes of putting.

DJ was on outrageous form with the driver, he hit six of the longest balls — including 396 yards at the par-4 seventh, 397 at the par-4 12th, 351 at the par-5 15th, and 397 at the par-4 17th. Unfortunately he couldn’t quite convert this, finishing 26th at level par.
Here’s how the top 10 looked after the first round.
