- Pep Guardiola is already planning his first Manchester City signings
- The current Bayern Munich boss moves to the Etihad Stadium this summer
- The Spaniard is reportedly looking to raid former club Barcelona
According to the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola is planning on raiding former club Barcelona this summer, with hopes of bringing Neymar and Sergio Busquets with him to the Etihad Stadium.
The world’s best manager has already revealed that he is making plans for his next adventure, despite the fact he still has half a season left with Bayern Munich. However, it sounds like the Man City powers that be will have to write out a blank cheque in order to prise Neymar away from the Nou Camp.
Money is never an issue for the Citizens, though, and when you watch a highlights reel like the one below, you can’t blame Pep for wanting to pull out all the stops to sign the Brazilian trickster.
The potential arrival of Busquets would certainly end Yaya Toure’s time in Manchester – no doubt a move to the Chinese Super League awaits the big Ivorian – and it would raise questions over the future of Fernandinho, who has been one of the most consistent players for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
When all is said and done, however, whether Busquets and Neymar can go toe-to-toe with the likes of Danny Drinkwater and Marc Albrighton remains to be seen…
