
Memphis Depay is reaping the storm of the United faithful this morning after costing his side all 3 points at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old was a late substitute decision for Louis Van Gaal’s side who were leading Chelsea 1-0 with only minutes to go.
Entering the fray in the 87th minute in replacement of the Manchester United youngster and goalscorer Jesse Lingard, Netherlands international Depay was brought on presumably to run down the clock.
But the underperforming forward did nothing to endear himself to the travelling United fans. With seconds to go, Memphis gave the ball away under little pressure – leading to a quick counter attack from Chelsea; Diego Costa slotting the equaliser away:
