Liverpool Fans Abandon Anfield in Angry Protest

  • Liverpool fans staged a mass protest against rising home game ticket prices.

Fans waved black flags as they emptied the Kop early, abandoning the usual red and white banners.

The club’s under-fire owners Fenway Sports Group have now decided to revisit the plans following mounting pressure from the stands.

Chants were heard ringing around Anfield on the 77th minute and continued as outraged fans left the ground in droves. Liverpool fans were heard chanting ‘enough is enough you cheeky b******s’ to the club owners.



Footballers are often accused of being out of touch with the issues of their loyal supporters but former red Jamie Carragher and popular Sky Sports pundit joined with the Liverpool fans in their protest:



Jurgen Klopp’s side were winning 2-0 when thousands of fans headed for the exits before Sunderland bounced back to salvage a point with a 2-2 draw.
