- Jose Mourinho has reportedly agreed a three-year deal to become Man United’s manager
- Louis van Gaal is under increased pressure from the Red Devils fanbase
- The ‘Special One’ was sacked from by Chelsea earlier in the season
It has always felt like a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’ Jose Mourinho will pop-up in the Old Trafford dugout for Manchester United, and the Mirror are now reporting that the former Chelsea man has agreed a three-year deal with former Premier League champions.
United are in major need of a freshen up, as they look to return to the elite group of clubs that they were so used to rubbing shoulders with, but how will Jose go about that?
SELL JUAN MATA
The former Inter Milan gaffer will do it out of a matter of principle rather than anything else because he’s a prick. That being said, it makes more sense for Jose to offload Mata at United, rather than when at Chelsea where it was a completely ridiculous decision.
Mata at United, although a delightful player, the Spaniard doesn’t quite have the ability to grab games the by the scruff of the neck when van Gaal’s need him the most. In short, the former Valencia man only plays well when everyone is playing well.
That won’t stop the 27-year-old being the loveliest man in football, though.
STIFLE PEP
There’s a growing fear outside of the Etihad Stadium that Manchester City are about to become an elite club that goes toe-to-toe with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
If this were to happen, the Premier League could go down the root of the La Liga and Bundesliga when it comes to teams facing Real, Bayern and Barca…
CHANGE FORMATION
Louis van Gaal believes in a set formation and style of play irrelevant of the personnel at his disposal, because he’s a stubborn, well, arse.
Jose is, for all his flaws as a man, human and mammal, is a bloody quality tactician; he’ll know what to do.
