Cristiano Ronaldo Throws A Tantrum And Storms Out Of Press Conference

Cristiano Ronaldo stormed out of a Champions League press conference in Rome yesterday, after becoming increasingly frustrated about answering questions about Barcelona’s front three.

Spitting his dummy out at the front row of journalists, the Real Madrid superstar left an embarrassed Zinedine Zidane to finish the media duties on his own.

Ronaldo’s relationship with Gareth Bale was put under the spotlight as well as his recent goalscoring record away from home – he didn’t stand up well to the criticism.

Madrid take on Roma in the first leg of their last-16 tie at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday, and Ronaldo was the man put forward to attend the press conference alongside his manager.

The Portuguese was asked whether the apparently close bond between Barcelona’s trident attack force of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez was the reason for their astonishingly high combined goals total. The trio have scored 22 more this season than that of himself, Bale and Karim Benzema.

“That’s what you say,” Ronaldo snarled.

“When I was at Manchester United with Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand, we only said ‘good morning’ and ‘good night’ and we were formidable on the pitch.”

Ronaldo then turned his fury to a reporter who brought up his run of four away games without a goal, getting up to leave before his answer had been translated into Italian.

He said: “Can you name one player who has scored more away from home than me since I’ve been in Spain? No, you can’t, there aren’t any. Bye everyone.”
