Chelsea reveals Hazard has to fight to keep his head off the chopping block

Eden Hazard hasn’t quite been performing as hoped in 2015-16. The former 2014-15 Player of the Year only has one club goal to his name this season and Chelsea finally decided that it needed to take him to task for his ailing form before he ended up phasing himself out of the club altogether.

Guus Hiddink revealed that Chelsea has been having some serious talks with Hazard about his precarious position. “He was in a difficult situation but he has to step up. He knows that from our talks with him.”

Hazard has expressed an interest in working with Zinedine Zidane in Real Madrid, but Hiddink is quick to shut down any talk of Hazard leaving Chelsea for the Spaniards.

“I had very short conversations with him about the situation,” Hiddink asserted, “He is very keen to be here.”
