Home is where you lay your hat, and Jose Mourinho has laid his fedora at the steps of Old Trafford, with Portuguese publication, Correio da Manha, reporting the former Chelsea boss has purchased a house in Manchester.
Assuming Jose isn’t now turning to flipping properties for a living, it’s the biggest indication – and there have been loads – that Mourinho will be replacing Louis van Gaal at United very soon.
So, where has Jose opted to live?
Old Trafford
A grand gesture always goes down well with the one you love and Jose knows he won’t be camping outside for long.
Outside The Etihad Stadium
You can just hear Mourinho’s inner monologue: “Well, I suppose whilst I’m in Manchester it would be silly not to pop my head in and just ask…”
Louis van Gaal’s House
Delighted to hear from his friend and former Barcelona colleague, Jose Mourinho, LvG is more than happy to put up the ‘Special One’ for a few days so he can attend his interview for a new job based in Manchester – would be great to be a fly on the wall when van Gaal finds out who the new role is with.
Juan Mata’s pad
The former FC Porto gaffer has it in for Juan Mata – it makes sense that Jose wouldn’t be a fan of a kind, friendly and loveable chap. Mourinho turns up at the United midfielder’s house whilst he is at training, changes the locks and takes over his home forever.
