- Tour Pro’s ball lands behind a tree
- Successful shot leads to broken club
Sticky situations are always bound to happen to professionals on Tour. One pro in particular got into a bit of a pickle today at the Waste Management Open in Phoenix.
Justin Thomas landed right in front of a low bearing tree, that abstained his club from being able to move forward with his swing. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place (in this case the rock being a tree). So what did he do? He did what any pro would do and he went for the shot.
Although he successfully punched out from that tricky position, his club did not make it out alive. He snaps his iron right in half! That just shows you how much power is behind these professional swings. Watch the shot below:

He managed to make par after that hole, which is pretty impressive. So, Thomas is left one club short, but you know who has an extra one he can borrow? Keegan Bradley.. Too soon?
