Arsenal fans are always looking for new ways to wind up Spurs fans, but life-long fan Stephen Earwicker might have taken dedication to this cause to a whole new level.
Toddler Zoe has learned the songs from her dad Stephen and can now sing “you sold Bale, we signed Mesut Ozil” in perfect pitch.
Stephen however pleads not guilty to the accusations of brain-washing his daughter Zoe, claiming:
“I’m a life-long Arsenal fan and I suppose she’s just picked it up from watching the games with me, we watched Arsenal draw with Everton together before she was 24 hours old.”
The two-year-old boasts an impressive knowledge of Arsenal football chants, with an expansive song repertoire ranging from former players to North London rivals Tottenham.
Considerately, Stephen has changed the more ‘inappropriate’ lyrics to suit the toddler, so young Zoe can pay fitting tribute to Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires.
“She’s pretty articulate and even though she doesn’t really know what’s going on, she’ll always sit down and cheer for Arsenal.
“She picks them up really quickly and she has everyone in stitches. She looks innocent but then she bursts into song.”
Stephen seems delighted with the reception the footage has received; particularly from Tottenham fans:
“The video has wound-up a few Spurs fans I know, so it’s done the job.”
It can’t be long before Zoe is the chorus-master for the popular chant: What do you think of Tottenham…
