What an incredible week it’s been for teenager Marcus Rashford; Manchester United’s man of the hour.
All eyes were on the English striker ahead of Saturday’s big Premier League clash as title hopefuls Arsenal travelled to Old Trafford.
The youngster rescued the reds from embarrassment mid-week, scoring twice on his senior debut as a rejuvenated United beat FC Midtjylland in the Europa League to earn a tie with Liverpool in the next round.
Louis Van Gaal rewarded Rashford with place in the starting line-up against Arsene Wenger’s title-chasing Gunners… and the young starlet was in no way overwhelmed by the occasion!
The youngster scored with his first ever shot in the Premier League, before latching on to Guillermo Varela’s cross to cushion his header past Petr Cech less than two minutes later.
Footballing legends, past and present, were evidently impressed with Marcus Rashford’s performance and heaped praise upon the striker – some Utd fans went so far as to compare him to one of the Premier League’s best ever goalscorers.
Here are some of Twitter’s best reactions to the end of an incredible week for Marcus Rashford:

In typical United fan fashion, some were a little more exhuberant!
I absolutely love it when a young English player bursts into the scene. Regardless of club. Great half for Marcus Rashford

We’d be champions by now if Rashford had played all season.

Marcus Rashford will probably play at the Euros. His positioning is Van Nistelrooy-esque.
