- Justin Timberlake and Mark Wahlberg were just announced as the celebrity guests
We found out Tuesday that Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler will be battling it out on primetime television, after a decade hiatus.
On Tuesday when this was announced, they hadn’t said who the celebrity stars joining these two were going to be. Well now they have, at least two of the stars joining them will be.. drumroll please.. Justin Timberlake and Mark Wahlberg.
Wow didn’t see that one coming. Actually, we called it.
It makes sense. These four are the top of the tier when it comes to entertaining those not only who love golf, but those who don’t! Rickie Fowler has always been a man of the people, creating buzz whenever he takes the field. His followers love him and that’s why he is the optimal choice for this primetime debut. Rory is pure talent, and the clear choice for this battle royale!
Mr. Timberlake and Marky Mark will bring the masses out to watch this incredible golf event. The event will be held on June 7, a week before the U.S. Open. The broadcast will be shared by Golf Channel and CBS, and will be the first primetime golf exhibition in the United States since 2005. I’m sure there will be dancing, singing, and some majorly awesome and entertaining golf to keep your eyes glued to the screen.
Maybe Andy Samberg will show up!
