The Arsenal fan who unfurled a banner calling for Arsene Wenger to depart from the Emirates, says he did so to protest after “years and years and years of lies”.
With Arsenal cruising into the FA Cup quarter-final with a 4-0 victory over Hull in their fifth round replay on Tuesday night – three diehard members of the travelling support held aloft a banner, thanking Arsene Wenger for his services but asking him to leave the club with dignity.
Speaking with Arsenal Fan TV afterwards, the fan known as ‘DT’, who took the banner with him to the KC Stadium offered his opinion:
“It’s the culmination of years and years and years of lies, and everything from the board to the manager”
“We’re here to let Arsene Wenger, to let Stan Kroenke, Ivan Gazidis and everyone in charge of Arsenal know that fans have a voice. I love Arsenal, but don’t have to accept some of the things that’s going on.”

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright – who has been critical of many aspects of Arsenal’s performances this season – exchanged some heated words in a row with the angry fan on Twitter, attacking DT and the fans who displayed the banner at the KC Stadium.

.@DeejayDt I’ll disrespect you all day long unfurling your muggy banner after a 4-0 win and plenty enough games left in the league. ??
