Rickie Fowler is determined to move on from his crushing loss against Hideki Matsuyama at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. He’s been getting himself in gear ahead of the Honda Classic by practicing hard at the Floridian National Golf Club. To stay at the top of his game, he’s brought along a golf partner for those 36 holes and it’s none other than Michael Jordan himself.

“It’s a great way to prep because he’s one of the greatest competitors in the world,” Rickie Fowler explained his choice of partner. And he’s probably right, considering that he’s keeping mum about the outcome of the match. All you need to know is that there was money involved.

“Of course there was something on the line. The juices were flowing. I compare it to the money games on Tuesday with Phil. You have to be on your toes and there is pressure. Plus you’re playing with MJ. It can’t get any better than that.”

You heard it from the man himself. Michael Jordan is now officially a golfer.
