U.S. soccer boss Jürgen Klinsmann has tapped 13 MLS players for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Guatemala that will take place on Friday, March 25th.
Good to see Clint Dempsey back in the fold after being left off the roster for the first two World Cup qualifiers back in the fall.
One player to keep your eye on is Steve Birnbaum. DC United’s young center-back’s stock is on the rise after he scored against Iceland in a January friendly.
MLS players are particularly well represented in the final third of the field, comprising 10 of the 13 forwards and midfielders selected.
