The Greenwich Peninsula Driving range is located a decent 5-iron from the North Greenwich tube station and provides an oasis after you’ve suffered the indignity of hauling your clubs across London.
With 60 bays and an incredible backdrop, this golf range is bringing people to the game in a way you wouldn’t believe. With table service it tries to imitate the ‘Top Golf’ vibe but still retains the neolithic purity of “human hit ball.”
During one of my evenings there I watched as four guys playfully smashed balls and drowned beers until one of them eventually fell on the glass table, shattering it to a fit of laughter. The atmosphere is incredibly amateurish and the fun is infectious. Fails like the one you just watched are common place, but to say it’s the worst we’ve ever seen would be a lie!
