Ronaldo is what every man aspires to be: rich, famous, and surrounded by beautiful women – so why does everyone hate him?
Is it the shiny skin and dumb haircuts?
Or is it his me-first attitude on the field?
I’m inclined to believe it’s the latter.
When you see the Three Amigos – Messi, Neymar, and Suarez – for Barcelona, they look like three dudes who hang out when they’re not working. They have genuine chemistry and that makes everybody smile.
Seriously, their happiness is contagious.
Ronaldo is always sulking around, cursing the sky when things don’t go his way.
I mean, jeez, could things get any worse for this poor guy?
Seems like he just can’t catch a break…
Look at this video – it’s like the guy wakes up on the wrong side of bed EVERY DAY.
His habitual pouting wears on you.
We all love to watch him play; he’s amazing.
Arguably the best player in the world.
But Messi wins that argument by a landslide.
Not because he’s the better player – I don’t think there is a right answer there – but because Messi is so much more likable.
I mean, come on, the guy passed a penalty kick so his buddy could get a hat trick.
Who doesn’t want a friend like that?
When Messi plays, it’s pure, unadulterated joy.
You can see that he loves what he does.
No doubt Ronaldo does as well, but his body language is toxic.
Definitely a “glass is half empty” kinda guy.
Or at least that’s how it would appear.
Maybe he’s a great dude in person.
There’s certainly evidence to suggest that’s the case.
But when his default setting seems to be somewhere between miffed and incredulous, all the positive things he does are overshadowed.
I think fans everywhere would agree – we want to see more of this guy
and less of this guy
