Say what you want about Rory McIlroy and/or his workout routines, but you have to admit he’s kind of a generous guy. Just last year, he sent out a lot of feel-good vibes by gifting a fan with a driver on Facebook. It looks like he’s been spreading the love even amongst some rather more high-profile personalities. Mark Wahlberg revealed that McIlroy had been thoughtful enough to give him a driver too (though seriously, how many of those does he have lying around the house?). Now, it appears that he’s also received some golf balls and they’ve been giving him quite a bit of luck on the course.

Looks like Rory McIlroy’s been helping out the right guy. It’s a rare thing to find someone truly deserving of the things you give them, but Mark’s taken to both the club and the ball like King Arthur took to Excalibur.

Seems like Rory McIlroy was very much inspired to help by Wahlberg’s just-missed ace at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. After publicly declaring his admiration for Wahlberg’s playing, McIlroy must have felt that all he was lacking was the proper equipment.
