Graham DeLaet has a superb beard but that wasn’t enough to help him hang on to the lead at the Valspar Championship. Charl Schwartzel came out of nowhere to overcome a 5 shot deficit on the final day at Copperhead. The South African has not won on the PGA TOUR in five years and shot the lowest round of the day to make a playoff with Bill Haas after 72 holes.
Graham DeLaet on TOUR:

DeLaet was in contention until a final round 75 saw him slide down the leaderboard. The Canadian has a history of falling away on the final day of a tournament. Credit to Schwartzel for his astonishing comeback. You know it’s tough when a -7 is enough to win you a tournament on the PGA TOUR
Here’s a putt he sank from way downtown.
