Aston Villa have endured a historically bad season, but they’ve sunk to a new low.
The team played so bad this season that they will cancel their end of season awards party. A team spokesman delivered the news earlier today.
“THE CLUB WILL NOT BE HOLDING ITS ANNUAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARDS AT THE CONCLUSION OF THIS SEASON. IN THE CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES, WE ARE SURE OUR SUPPORTERS WILL UNDERSTAND.”

The same year that saw Leicester soar to new heights has been an absolute disaster for Villa.
They’ve had sole control of the bottom of the Premier League table since November.
Aston Villa superfan TheKingMonkey shredded the club in an online forum.
“WE CANCELLED A GOAL OF THE MONTH LAST SEASON BECAUSE WE FAILED TO SCORE IN OVER A MONTH. WE ARE USED TO SHIT LIKE THIS. BEFORE YOU LAUGH, IMAGINE THE POOR GUY WHO’S GOT TO TY AND SELL OUR 2015/16 SEASON REVIEW DVD. TALK ABOUT HAVING YOUR WORK CUT OUT FOR YOU.”
Villa’s season, in which the club mustered only three Premier League wins, is widely regarded as one of the worst seasons in Premier League history.
The good news for Villa is that the nightmare will end soon.
The bad news is that they will wake up in the Championship.
Relegation is not a possibility, it’s a certainty.
Former manager Remi Garde quietly excused himself from his position last month.
Whoever is tapped to replace him will certainly have his work cut out for him, however, the future manager can take solace in knowing that no matter how bad Villa does next year, it can’t possibly be as bad as this year.
