Jason Day Just Proved He’s The Best Golfer In The World

Is Jason Day the best player in the world? Probably yes. Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott and Bubba Watson are not far behind, with Rickie Fowler bringing up the capable rear. This makes the Masters even more exciting. Remember it’s a competition that can bring up golfers from nowhere – think Angel Cabrera in 2009.

“It’s been a memorable week, not only to win the Dell Match Play but to get back to No. 1 in the world,”

Jason Day.

Jason was imperious, his 4 and 5 victory over Oocthuizen was the largest margin in the championship match since Tiger Woods beat Stewart Cink, 8 and 7, in 2008. It confirmed that Day is now the best player in the world. At times the world rankings can be accused of being a little sluggish, but their recent change reflects the golfing world perfectly.

“I couldn’t buy a birdie,”  “I played OK, but nothing spectacular. Up against a guy like Jason, you need to play 3 or 4 under to have a chance.”

Louis Oosthuizen.

Who is your money on for the Masters? Plenty of guys finding some form – don’t forget Patrick Reed, Rickie winning, Adam Scott is on song, Jordan Spieth is a machine, Bubba Watson is an anomaly…the list goes on and on.
