SEE ALSO: Aston Villa Should’ve Followed Sunderland’s Lead
Following official confirmation of Aston Villa’s relegation to the Championship – unofficially, they’ve been down since they decided to sign Rudy Gestede – Joleon Lescott, who is now known as the gift that keeps on giving, opted for some truly bizarre post-match comments:
“Now it’s confirmed maybe it’s a weight off the shoulders and we can give these fans what they deserve — some performances.”

Most of the footballing world voiced their ‘Oh FFS, Joleon. Really?’ reactions to the former England international’s poor choice of words. However, former Villains striker, Stan Collymore, took particular umbrage with Lescott’s comments.

Following Stan’s ‘Tit’ tweet, Lescott then direct messaged the talkSPORT host, who, of course, decided to screenshot the private conversation to his followers. However, the former Leicester City striker deleted the image before ridiculing Lescott further…
Sorry, didn't mean to send that.
Phone was in my pocket.

Of course, deleted tweets will never escape the internet, and here’s what the Aston Villa centre-back sent Collymore:
“We need to sort this out, you think I’m a tit, I got a similar opinion of you.
“Tried to get in touch via Jack which you didn’t want so now I’m askin you do you really wanna get together and sort this out as men.”

But the spat hasn’t ended there, with further text messages between the pair having been leaked…
