Christian Pulisic has been making power moves.

He scored his first Bundesliga goal over the weekend. At just 17, he’s the youngest foreign player ever to score in the German top division.

The fact that he’s arrived with a bang has come as a pleasant surprise to most of us, but not to those who know him best.

Watch his teammates dish up the inside scoop on America’s brightest young star.

Teammates Matthias Ginter, Roman Bürki and Marcel Schmelzer were effusive in their praise for the youngster, which makes me happy because it reinforces my belief that Pulisic’s hot streak is not a fluke.

Those aren’t schlubs, either. Matthias Ginter was a member of the German squad that won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Doesn’t get any more legit than that.

It’s safe to say Pulisic has been making waves lately.

The Future

His power moves haven’t gone on under the radar. People around the globe are taking notice, from casual fans to former Dortmund boss Jürgen Klopp.

If the past month or so has been a soft opening for Pulisic, he’ll make his primetime debut this June during the Copa America.

He’ll face off against the game’s brightest stars – Messi, Neymar, Suarez – in bonafide international competition.

Pulisic won’t face that kind of competition again until the World Cup.

If he has a good showing, big money offers from major clubs will start pouring in. Dortmund will be lucky to hold on to their golden goose.

There’s no other player in the Bundesliga garnering the kind of attention Pulisic is in the lucrative American market.

Thomas Müller is an all-world player but even his name isn’t ringing bells like Pulisic’s is right now.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him fetch an 8-figure transfer fee in the near future.

Stay up, young Pulisic, we’re all rootin’ for ya.
